Jake Locker - #10, Quarterback, Washington Huskies

As the season opener is now just 47 days away, the on-line season previews will just be getting started.

Ted Miller, former Seattle P.I. writer and current Pac-10 blogger, talks about how Jake’s return is one reason for hope in the Huskies 2009 Football Season. Of course, he also states the obvious that an area of concern is the well documented difficult schedule the Dawgs have in ’09.

The Bleacher Report makes a guess at the Huskies offensive depth chart here. Of course, there will be a lot of competition and most assuredly it will have some key differences come September 5th.

In case you missed last week’s ESPN.Com Ivan Maisel Chat Wrap, he mentions Jake as a reason to be intrigued by the LSU vs. Washington game.

And finally, the Bonnie Lake-Sumner Courier-Herald (say that 3 times really fast) had a good article last week on Jake’s excitement for the upcoming season. In it, Jake says that the coaches have a new approach and that “these guys have come from winning programs and they know what it takes to win in this league. With the knowledge and confidence is a different thing we now have.”

Jake had some other comments relating to the season and the recent changes. He was being interviewed as he helped out at a Bonney Lake High School youth camp.
