This year, Donald Butler joined Coach Sark at Pac 10 media day. There were a lot of questions regarding Jake, and a few articles that detail some of those answers. details how Coach Sarkisian believes Jake will sign with the Angels. This is probably more of a question of when rather than if, and with Coach Sarkisian believing it will happen it appears to be just a matter of time.

Bob Condotta of the Seattle Times reports at how Sarkisian believes Jake has led by example in an effort to help the team gain confidence.

Ken Goe of Oregonlive talks briefly about Sarkisian turning the program around and how Jake’s goal for this year is to continue his improvement in passing efficiency, something that looked solid at the Spring Game.

As the season opener is now just 47 days away, the on-line season previews will just be getting started.

Ted Miller, former Seattle P.I. writer and current Pac-10 blogger, talks about how Jake’s return is one reason for hope in the Huskies 2009 Football Season. Of course, he also states the obvious that an area of concern is the well documented difficult schedule the Dawgs have in ’09.

The Bleacher Report makes a guess at the Huskies offensive depth chart here. Of course, there will be a lot of competition and most assuredly it will have some key differences come September 5th.

In case you missed last week’s ESPN.Com Ivan Maisel Chat Wrap, he mentions Jake as a reason to be intrigued by the LSU vs. Washington game.

And finally, the Bonnie Lake-Sumner Courier-Herald (say that 3 times really fast) had a good article last week on Jake’s excitement for the upcoming season. In it, Jake says that the coaches have a new approach and that “these guys have come from winning programs and they know what it takes to win in this league. With the knowledge and confidence is a different thing we now have.”

Jake had some other comments relating to the season and the recent changes. He was being interviewed as he helped out at a Bonney Lake High School youth camp.
