After quickly falling behind 10-0, the Huskies reeled off 27 unanswered points to take a 27-10 lead, including 2 touchdown receptions of 57 and 28 yards by Jermaine Kearse. On the evening, the Locker to Kearse combination tallied 9 connections for 179 yards and 3 td’s. Devin Aguilar chipped in with 7 catches, 81 yards and a touchdown as well. Jake ended the evening with 289 yards passing on 22-33, and had 4 touchdowns with no interceptions.
This was the second time Jake played Syracuse in his career, the first of which was his first collegiate game in 2007. “This was a very different team,” he said of the Orange compared to 2007′s squad. “A confident team, a fast and physical team, a very good football team.”
