In case you missed it, the NY Times published a great article on ’Mr. Locker’, written by William Yardley. The article is titled ‘A High-Tech City’s Down-Home Hero.’
Yardley spent significant time following Jake, attending games and tailgates with the ‘Ferndawgs’, and in the process interviewing a lot of Jake’s friends and family for the story–one that focuses on the more personal and social aspect of Jake’s career. The article is one of the best summaries of Jake’s athletic career as well, one that touches on his legacy, his roots, and his future prospects.

Jake was highlighted today in the NY Times, a story that detailed his return to Washington for his senior season and gave many people across the country a glimpse of the talented quarterback.
In the story, Jake again reiterates his belief that the current experience of College Football is not one to take for granted.
“Don’t get me wrong,” Locker explained to the NY Times. “I really look forward to the N.F.L. But it’s not going anywhere. You can never go back and play college football.”
