Jake’s series of NFL auditions concludes tomorrow morning on the campus of the University of Washington, where UW will hold their annual ‘Pro Day’ for graduating senior football players.
For the first time, the event will be televised live on-line on ESPN3.com. The line-up of former UW players–including fellow offensive mates Cody Habben, Ryan Tolar and D’Andre Goodwin–can be found on Coach Sark’s site here.
Jake plans on featuring his throwing skills in a continued effort to show that he is more than just an athlete at the quarterback position, and that he can make the throws that are necessary to compete at the next level. Since the end of the season, Jake has been diligently working with Steve Clarkson and former NFL Quarterback Ken O’Brien on continuing to improve his footwork, and Wednesday’s event will give him a final opportunity to give NFL talent evaluators one last glimpse before April’s NFL Draft.
Mike Sando of ESPN’s NFC West Blog wrote a quick piece on Jake and will be attending the day’s events. Look for Mike to provide in depth coverage of how Jake performs and if he may be a prospect for one of the teams within the NFC West.
